How to Find a Great Home Health Care Provider – Part Two

Comfort Health’s Home Health Care Services are Government Certified and Medicare/Medicaid Certified

Last month’s blog covered eight key questions to ask when seeking reputable, high-quality and compassionate home-care services for yourself or a loved one in the Rochester, MN area. After all, asking plenty of questions and learning as much as you can about potential service providers is a great way to ensure that you’re making the best care decisions for you and your family.

This month, we have provided seven additional questions to ask when narrowing your choices.

Is the agency or service provider evaluated and accredited by a governing agency? Comfort Health is licensed with the Minnesota Department of Health and holds Class A and Class F home care licensures.

Is it Medicaid or Medicare certified? Comfort Health is a Medicaid and Medicare certified provider. Comfort Health has contracts to service Medicaid clients in Dodge, Fillmore, Goodhue, Mower, Olmstead, Wabasha, and Winona Counties. Please contact Comfort Health to find out if Medicare may cover all or part of your service.

What other forms of payment are accepted? Comfort Health accepts country waivers and veteran’s benefits, and is a preferred provider with many national private insurance companies. The agency also accepts checks and credit cards for self/private pay and works with the billing departments of several embassies to authorize services.

Will the agency or service provider explain what my private insurance will cover and what I must pay out-of-pocket? Comfort Health’s billing professionals will verify eligibility and coverage information for the care that you or your family member request prior to services being rendered.

Does the agency conduct customer satisfaction surveys? Comfort Health regularly sends surveys to its clients. These brief surveys ask clients’ opinions on a variety of topics related to the care they received from Comfort Health. While a number of questions are asked, perhaps the most important question is whether they would recommend Comfort Health to the folks they care about. In the most recent survey, 100% of Comfort Health’s clients would recommend the care provider to their loved ones.

Can the agency supply references or testimonials from past or present clients? Comfort Health is happy to provide several references and testimonials from clients, family members, and health-care providers who have first-hand knowledge of the high-quality care our agency provides.
